The California Native Garden in Lake Cunningham Regional Park, 2305 S. White Rd, San Jose, welcomes volunteers to help with invasive plant removal, mulching, planting, and watering.

Workdays are Saturdays 9am to noon. This volunteer opportunity is suitable for all who enjoy physical activity in an outdoor setting with a view of the lake, the garden, and wildlife. It is a good opportunity for high school groups or individuals looking for community service volunteer hours.

Volunteers are welcome by appointment through the Volunteer Match website. To volunteer, click on the link at the bottom of this page. Be sure to tell us something about yourself and the date(s) you wish to volunteer. Expect a response within a couple of days confirming your date or suggesting an alternate date.

In general, individuals can be accommodated on the next scheduled workday. Groups of 5 or more must reserve a workday not already reserved by another group. If you are representing a group, tell us the name of your group, how many in your group, and which date(s) your group is interested in. To view available workdays, visit the calendar by clicking here; any Saturday or Sunday that is not already reserved is available for reservation.
